Summer & Autumn Clothing Haul

This collective haul spans over quite a long period, I bought a couple of bits on holiday, and other places. Some things were for the summer months, while a few I have the intention of wearing in autumn.

The pyjama bottoms, dressing gown and baseball cap were mostly purchased for practical reasons. I’ve been needing a few extra pairs of pyjama bottoms, and I was getting a bit warm in my winter dressing gown over summer. My last baseball cap has seen better days, so I invested in a new one.

The military jacket, and bag were both treat purchases, bought on holiday in Helmsley with my family. I see these two pieces working quite well together in autumn.

Haul Details:

Age UK Charity Shop, Helmsley.
Military jacket, originally from Boohoo. £4.50

Helmsley Market
Pink and grey cross over bag. £14.99

Marks & Spencer
Elephant design cosy pyjama bottoms. £15.00

Peacocks
Neon summer dressing gown. £12.00 (+20% off offer)
Denim summer baseball cap. £6.00 (+20% off offer)

TKMaxx Colourful Clothing Haul

Hope you’re all doing well. Today I have a clothing haul to share with you from TKMaxx. I don’t get to go to TKMaxx that often, but my friend introduced me to them a while back, and since then I’ve been a fan. When I last went in, I was hoping to grab a few statement pieces as I was in need of one or two items like that.

I’m very much drawn to colour in clothes, and these mustard linen blend trousers seemed perfect for summer time. I’ve worn them once so far this year; they are so comfortable, and I like the yellow. The pink floral dress I loved the minute I saw it; it kind of has an oriental theme to it, which is lovely. The till assistant mentioned how nice it was too! The green block swing dress is just my thing, and I can see it being an everyday staple. Lastly I purchased some joggers, they are so cosy and perfect for chill days.

What I bought in TKMaxx:

Mustard Linen Blend Trousers £12.99
Pink Floral Midi Dress £19.99
Green Block Swing Dress SALE £6.00
Red Panel Joggers SALE £5.00

Do you ever visit TKMaxx?

Winter Clothing Haul

Hi – hope you are all well, today I’ve got a few clothing items I’ve been purchasing over the winter months to share. These days I don’t buy as many clothes, but winter is probably my favourite time to shop as I love cosy knits and things that keep you warm. I went shopping two times, the first time I popped into Peacocks just before Christmas, I had a voucher and managed to get some money off. Often they give you them at the till, and I recommend you look out for them.

On the day Peacocks seemed to be stocking some really lovely pieces, and I spent a while trying things on and I came out with some great, staple items. I picked up two jumpers, each with a different detail to make them special. I saw this pale blue slouchy jumper and loved the colour as well as the lattice detailing on the sleeve. The second jumper has a beautiful role neck with an intricate pattern and feather quality all through the fabric. I had a quick look at the sports wear, and this asymmetric striped top had the softest fabric and the style I felt would be very wearable.

On another day, I popped into Shoe Zone which I think is actually an underrated shop in my view. I loved the pastels colours of these cosy socks, and I needed to restock so I got those along with some super cosy gloves, lined with fleece. I was pleased with my purchases as I know they will get a lot of wear.

What I Purchased:

Peacocks
Blue slouchy lattice detail jumper £18.00
Navy feather detail roll neck jumper £20.00
Cosy asymmetric striped tee £15.00

(I used a £10 off voucher which can be
used if you spend over a certain amount)

Shoe Zone
Two pack of cosy socks £2.99
Ladies cosy lined lilac gloves £6.99

Winter Clothing Haul

So I’m a little late with this haul, as I picked up these bits in the January sales, although I only got around to photographing the items last week. Originally I thought I would miss the sales, but a couple weeks into January, Peacocks had been doing some tempting further reductions. I popped in one Sunday morning, this seems like a good day for me to go because it’s so quiet, and luckily they had a good selection out on the rails. I don’t do as much clothing shopping now but my top tip would be to buy things when you see them as much as possible because often they go out of stock and then you’ve missed your chance. I think winter is one of my favourite seasons to shop for as I love layering and woolly accessories.

I picked up four items, each in Peacocks on sale which came to £21.50 which isn’t too bad. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to wear many of these items because spring was on its way but with the torrential snow we’ve been having I’ve just been wearing these pieces up. I think the beige bell sleeve jumper is my favourite item, I love the fit, and bows on the sleeves. The t-shirt was more of a basic item, and with it being from the men’s section it’s fairly long with a relaxed fit. The burgundy jumper is so slouchy, I can see myself wearing this item a lot. Lastly I couldn’t resist this black and metallic pop pom beanie hat, and I love it!

What I Bought from Peacocks
Burgundy slouchy oversized jumper SALE £16 £8
Cream t-shirt from the men’s section SALE £7 £3.50
Beige bell sleeve jumper SALE £20 £6
Metallic bobble beanie SALE £8 £4

Primark & Sports Direct Clothing Haul

I visit my nearest city less often these days with wanting to budget a bit more. I do like having a nosy in my local Primark though, as there are so many bargains to be had in there. I’m always watching Primark haul videos on YouTube too. These days I visit Primark a couple of times a year, for things I need to stock up on. I think the overall theme of this haul is loungewear, for around the house as well as going to yoga. Luckily I picked up some bits perfect for that!

They had a whole stand of hoodies, basically the same one in a variety of colours, the only size 12 left was the mint green, I tried it on, the fit and material were gorgeous. I found the bargain of the day on the sale rack, this Barbie pink jumper dress was a steal for £3.00. I had quick browse in the shoe section, and they had some new stock in, mainly boots. These purple ones stood out to me, especially for the autumnal months. While walking to the queue, I spotted a beautiful messenger bag, a perfect size for day to day and some cosy footlets at the till.

I walked out of Primark satisfied with my purchases, and headed to Sports Direct. I was looking for some fashion bits I saw on their website, I couldn’t see them but tried on two styles of joggers, they were a nice fit and in the sale so they came home with me. So that’s want I picked up recently in town.

Have you been sale shopping lately?
What things have you been liking in the shops? :-) Xx

Clothing Haul: A New Outfit from Peacocks & New Look

I treated myself to a new outfit last month, and I needed most of these items anyway. Jeans can be such a tricky purchase but the high-waisted style is my favoured fit, and these ones were really comfy and affordably priced. I needed a new top, for day to day, this bright coral one is so bright and makes me think of summer. The trainers are practical for slipping on and off, I’ve been searching for a pair for a while, and I like the sparkle on them. My previous belt was completely battered, so I replaced it with this rose gold choice from New Look. It doesn’t really go with this jeans style, but I have a few pairs that I will wear with it. I’ve already been wearing the items quite a bit already!

Which clothing item is your favourite?
Do you ever shop in Peacocks or New Look? :-) Xx

Intro to Polyvore. A cool place online to make fashion/inspiration boards.

All Wrapped Up.

You may or may not have heard of Polyvore, it’s a cool place online to make fashion boards or any kind of inspiration boards. You can add items to a board and experiment anyway you wish. These ‘boards’ are called sets. You can also create collections which in other words are folders of individual items.

It takes a while to learn tips and tricks. If you are new to Polyvore you can browse other members or communities to gain knowledge and inspiration. Also once you’ve joined online I would recommend adding items. These appear on your profile and you can use them later on in your sets and collections.

It took me a while to develop a style on my sets. Some people keep it simple by adding a few items to make an outfit which I do sometimes, example above. If you want to be more adventurous you can create a template but I find this process trickier.

Some ideas I’ve seen include picking a colour and sticking to it for one board. Also picking a theme such as minimalist, street fashion, favourite products etc.

Feel free to add me on there if you’ve been on there a while or if you are a newbie. Let me know in the comments if you want to be Polyvore friends! :-D Lots of love, Helen Xxx
