End of May Shopping Haul

Yesterday I went shopping into my local town with two of my good friends. We visited primark, miss selfridge, river island and lots of other shops. 

My friend suggested we have a look in House of Fraser. This was the first time id ever been in properly and really enjoyed looking round. 

It was more window shopping as everything was quite pricey. I noticed they had a lovely ted baker department and we had a look round the Paperchase section also.

I bought some things which I thought I would blog. My favourite purchase was my Primark khaki lightweight gilet for £10.00. I thought it would be perfect for horse riding or wearing out on a nice day.

I also bought some fashion magazines from WhSmiths – as I was saving them for my holls.

Primark Nail Polish Remover pads 25 pad pack X 2 (£1.00) Review

This is an essential item that I thought was worth reviewing. There has been a bit of a buzz about those nail vanish remover pots you can get, I must say I haven’t tried those yet.

I tend to use nail varnish remover pads which have the remover already on them. I recently picked up the Primark version of these and was pretty pleased with the results.

The scent isn’t overpowering, but there is a lovely fragrant strawberry aroma. There is a lot of the remover substance on each pad, making it very easy to remove any nail polish.

The pads work very effectively and I imagine the two pots I received together for £1 will last me a good while. The only one downer about this item is that I wasn’t struck on the boring packaging, but at £1 I can’t complain.

They are a bargain in my opinion because you get 50 pads altogether (25 per pack). If you are after this product, you should find them by the till with the smaller pick me up at last minute items.

Pri Mark Lipsticks (berry and pink) £1 each

I have to give my hats off to Primark, for £1 per lipstick I was not expecting much but these lipsticks are wonderful.

I’m not a big lipstick person but have recently been loving matt lipsticks and these ones I bought were lovely shades in a matt formula.

I first picked up the lighter pink shade, as this colour has been quite a popular colour in magazines etc. When applying it to my lips it was lovely and also quite bright. It’s quite a statement colour.

I picked up the berry colour, it seemed quite dark but I thought I would give it a go. It looks a lot darker on the stick, whereas on the lips it’s slightly more of a sheer berry.

Both lipsticks you can build up and add more to make it look pigmented which I love. I tend to apply two coats and then blot with a piece of tissue. 

I think Primark has only two colours of lipstick, to my knowledge, or at least that’s what was left. If you want to pick some up, they should be found by the till, with all the other beauty bits.

Primark Socks Review!!!

I wanted to blog these socks I bought from Primark because there lush. You may be thinking why I’m doing a review on socks...

At £2.50 for five pairs there a complete bargain. They come in one size, I have quite big feet but they fit fine on me. There great for wearing in the house or out and about under shoes/boots.

I went for the pastel colours because they give me that lovely summer feeling. For the price, the quality is great and they have a super soft feel to them.

Socks in Primark can normally be found near the till, there’s normally a whole row of them in different colours and patterns. 

 

If you have not already bought socks from Primark, I highly recommend them. Everrytime I’m in Primark, I like to pick up a new pair!
