Primark Lipsticks – More shades bought! (£1 each)

After being delighted with the Primark makeup in the past, especially the matt lipsticks I tend to scavenger into those wonderful bowls near the till each time.

My latest trip I found there were two new shades of lipsticks, so I bought both. I found the bright fuchsia one to be more of a satin finish unfortunately but the berry red was a lovely matt finish.

I’ve got a whole collection of Primark lipsticks now so I’m now after trying the Kate Moss matt lipsticks range. I’ve seen a few of the beauty gurus using this brand and want to try for myself.

Do you wear matt lipsticks? Have you been persuaded to try Primark makeup?

Allura nail polish remover pads (£1 Poundland)

I bought these in hope they would be a dupe of the pri mark ones you can find at the till. How wrong could I be, these pads were terrible!

I don’t know whether they had been in the shop along time and but all of the pads in the tub had dried out. I had to chuck them out; they were no good at all.

L’Oreal telescopic clean definition mascara (£10.99 Boots)

I bought this same mascara years ago and remembered it to be excellent quality. £10.99 is a lot of money in my mind but I see it as an investment, as I don’t buy mascara often but use it quite regularly.

Everybody’s lashes are different but I find this particularly brand works well for me. It really brings out each lash and makes them look super long.

The brush is long and thin which is great for reaching the corners. Also the brush never gets clumps as the nozzle is small enough so when you pull the wand out it gets get off any excess.

This is probably my all time favourite mascara (or at least out of the ones I’ve tried in the past!) The only disappointment was the writing on the packaging came off quite easily, other than that it’s beautiful mascara, go buy!!

Strawberry and raspberry shower gel (89p Superdrug)

I enjoyed using this product in the shower. The strawberry/raspberry aroma was really lovely. The packaging was simple and pretty. It was easy to use because of the cap too.

The price is really reasonable and you can pick up other similar scents and products in the range. I think I’ve tried most of the shower gels, the lemon one was one of my all time favs, review here!

Collection BB Cream in light (£3.99 Boots)

This was a little impulse buy I bought when I was in town. My friend recommended this because she uses it herself. I picked up the light but unfortunately when I got home and tried it the colour didn’t suit my skin.

I have very pale skin and the undertone was way to yellow for me. The colour was also too dark for me. I only tend to use the product in moderation now.

Despite this I’m not off put with bb creams. I found the formula to be nourishing and easy to apply. My skin was left soft and gave a glow to my skin.

I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing this BB cream by collection but I might try others from different brands.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo (£5.89 Boots)

My friend recommended this and she told me John Frieda was a go to brand. This is an absolutely stunning product and after using this particularly item for the first time, I know I will repurchase it time and time again.

The shampoo formula worked wonders for my hair type. After using this product, my hair was beautifully full and volumized. It also made my hair squeaky clean and very shiny.

This consistency was very thick and lathered well. The scent smelt clean and fresh. I was also very drawn to the packaging; the thick plastic bottle added luxury and the solid cap made it easy to use.

There are not enough words to say how much I was impressed by this shampoo. It’s one of the best shampoos I’ve come across. It’s extremely great quality for the price and I recommend highly if you would like more thick and shiny hair.

Poundland Haul

Impulse shower gel £1.00
Super cosy socks £1.00 (x2)

The Body Shop Promotional Charity Pack £4.00

I went into The Body Shop to buy body butter and at the till I was persuaded into buying this gift pack. I parted for my money because some of the proceeds go straight to charity.

The sales assistant gave me a whiff of the lip balm and I really liked it. When I got home I wasn’t as keen because it reminded me slightly of hubba bubba bubblegum. This may be a plus if thats your thing but it was a bit OTT for me.

Despite this I had fun trying out the free samples and overall find using the lip butter pleasant to use.

Nivea Gift Set £5 (Superdrug, Boots)

Daily Essential Wipes

They are multipurpose because they cleanse tone and moisturize. The wipes worked well for removing stubborn makeup but I wasn’t blown away with this brand of face wipes, it doesn’t suit my skin so don’t think I’ll be repurchasing.

Shower Cream

I’ve used this shower cream previously and I dislike the soapy scent. The cream did leave my skin super soft but was put off by how it smelt. Also the bottle cap was badly made, which made the product hard to use easily in the shower.

Pearl & Beauty spray on deodorant

This product had a nice scent to it but I prefer roll on rather than spray on. It came in a handy travel size and I finished with the contents quite quickly.

Essential care lipbalm

Again, I’ve used this product so many times. I favour lip balms with a fruity or special scent to them. The scent of this lip balm is kind of fresh smelling but not at all overpowering.

The formula is similar to Vaseline and is not as an effective as blistex or burts bees etc. Great for general use but will probably not go out and repurchase.

Body Creme

Again I’ve used this product previously. The body lotion is extremely thick and nourishing. If you suffer with very dry skin this would probably be ideal.

I don’t find the formula to work for me though; it’s a bit too thick and takes too long to sink in. Again the scent is kind of soapy and not my favourite.
