Superdrug Extracts Grapefruit & Papaya Hair Care

Hi and welcome, I’m going to be talking through this shampoo and conditioner from the Superdrug Extracts range. I’ve previously reviewed the coconut and almond version for damaged hair, link here, which I found was just a little bit drying on my hair weirdly. I was in need of a new shampoo and conditioner, the grapefruit and papaya scent sounded incredible and offered an uplifting effect to fine locks. I wasn’t really sure what to expect after my previous experience but I found I preferred the grapefruit and papaya much more.

As predicted the scent was phenomenal, perfect to get me in the mood for summer. Luckily I found my hair felt really nourished during and after use. I know some products for fine hair can be a bit harsh but this wasn’t the case at all here, my hair appeared smooth and soft. Like all Superdrug own brand products, these are completely cruelty-free. The packaging is striking with the typography and bright colours. The price point is excellent too and the range is currently on offer reduced from £1.99 to £0.95 for the shampoo and also the conditioner. Click here to buy.

Superdrug ‘Devotion’ Body Spray

Hi – Today I wanted to share with you a body spray I’ve been testing out from the Superdrug brand. They do a variety of scents with unique branding and illustrations on the packaging of each. Devotion caught my eye online mainly for the scent which is sweet mandarin and wild plum, which sounded like my cup of tea perfectly. The body sprays at full price are £1.29 each but they have currently been reduced to 63p which is amazing. If you are looking to go cruelty-free, but want an affordable option this range is ideal.

After trialling it out for a week or so, the scent is not quite what I expected. It seems more floral and musky. It still is really lovely and one day when I had it on, my Mum was asking what special perfume I had on, she was amazed to hear that is was a body spray. The fragrance lasts a good couple of hours, and for the amount you get, its amazing value. Plus the cute graphics on each bottle make collecting the range, really tempting! I was currently in between perfumes, and this has been my go-to, I recommend you try this or others in the range. Click here to buy online.

Superdrug Tropical Fruits Beauty Haul

Last month I purchased a few bits on the Superdrug website, mainly essentials that I was short of so I thought it might make a good blog post. I’d been hanging onto my Poundland mascara for a while, just never getting around to buying a new one. I was hoping to find a cruelty-free option at Superdrug so I did a fair bit of research into it. I choose a Barry M one at such a reasonable price, I’ll let you know about it further in a review post soon.

I was also low on shower gel, I absolutely love the cruelty-free Superdrug Treat Me brand for this, and I’m working my way slowly through the different scents available. On this occasion I went for mango and coconut, it has a beautiful fruity, fresh scent and lathers well. I purchased a new shampoo and conditioner too, the Superdrug Extracts range is affordable and cruelty-free. I haven’t yet tested this grapefruit and papaya one yet but I had a sneaky smell and it’s gorgeous.

Lastly I treated myself to a body spray, the sweet mandarin and wild plum seemed promising and the packaging is adorable. It’s also cruelty-free and there will be a review shortly. There seemed to be fruity theme to this haul, I suppose I gravitate towards those kind of scents. I’m hoping the sun will return like in May when I photographed this haul in the garden!

I hope you enjoyed this post!
What kind of scents in beauty products do you go for? :-) Xx

Daily Routine Beauty Products Haul

Hello! I hope my lovely readers are well, today I’m back with a beauty/toiletries haul. I did some shopping on the Superdrug website as well as popping into my local Co-op. I don’t normally visit the Co-op in our next village but I was after some foodie bits for my Brother’s birthday, and decided to browse the toiletries section while I was there. Through word of mouth, I knew that their own brand was cruelty-free so I was curious to see how they compared to places like Superdrug. Sadly with Superdrug online, they have changed their postage policy, and you now have to spend £10 or more as a beauty card holder to get free delivery which disappointed me.

I was in need of a new shampoo and conditioner, the Co-op’s own brand has some great options at reasonable prices. They had a few other bits like face wipes, shower gels, etc. which I might have another look at next time I pop in. Original Source is one of my favourite shower gel brands but I had never previously tried the coconut one, so we will see how I find this. My online order with Superdrug was mainly Mother’s Day gifts but with a few bits for myself. I repurchased my favourite E.l.f concealer and treated myself to a day cream by Superdrug Vitamin E. A few reviews will be coming up shortly.
