Photos From My Phone #1

A book Christmas tree in a charity shop window display.
I’ve been enjoying visiting charity shops recently as well as taking in different window displays over Christmas.

A special dolls house.
In the same charity shop, this beautiful dolls house caught my eye. I just had to photograph it. I hope it goes to a good home.

A book cover I saw in WHSmiths.
I rarely go in WHSmiths, but I had a voucher to spend. I didn’t buy this particular book, but I admired the lovely front cover design.

A coffee I had in a local café.
I had a coffee for the first time in a new café.

A cool café interior.
This café recently opened near where I live, and I hope it does well.

How are things with you?
Did any of my photo snippets interest you? :-) Xx

New Year Misc. Haul

Welcome back and happy 2019! I took a little break and thought I would start off the year with a collective haul. Most of these items are very inexpensive, and I picked them up in the sales or otherwise over the winter months. As always I picked up a diary and calendar for the year, I’ve grown to love The Works selection, and was so pleased to snap up this funky flamingo calendar and a sophisticated navy diary. I really do recommend The Works, for their prices and quality.

I bought some cruelty-free make-up bits including a Gosh BB cream and a Barry M concealer. The Gosh item is a repurchase, but I still have a little review to write up about it. The concealer I’ve never tried before, but I’ve been getting into the Barry M brand lately. I’ve slowly made my way through the different scents of the Superdrug treat me shower gels, they’ve all been amazing, the honey and ginger was my last to try.

I needed to fill up my basket for free delivery, and this bath bomb crumble caught my eye, I haven’t got around to using it yet but I’m looking forward to it. Lastly I picked up this cute battery powered light up star, it sits very comfortably on a shelf in my room, and gives off a cosy light.

What I purchased:

Hello 2019 navy diary £3.00

Winter Photo Diary

The New Year is fast approaching and I thought now would be a nice time to share some of my photos from the winter months. There’s a mixture of outings, baking, books, Christmas & more. Hope you enjoy!

I’ve been reading a lot of Christmas fiction lately, here are a few of the books.

A little snippet from Christmas day, we had a turkey dinner.

What’s Christmas without baking?
Here are a few of my recent bakes that I haven’t previously shared.

I was impressed with our local chemist window display this year, so much effort has gone into it so I had to take pictures.

My family and I have been doing jigsaws, we were kindly given this one thousand piece Christmas jigsaw from a friend. I contributed but it was mainly my Mum who did most of this one. I loved having it out to put in pieces when I was in the mood and the picture is super festive.

My friend Kate is a wiz on the sewing machine, here are some of here owl dolls she created.

We are lucky enough to live by the beach, and winter walks are my favourite. These little dogs we met were so adorable.

If I don’t chat to you before, wishing you all a happy New Year! :-) Xx
