Lipsy Polished To Perfection £10
I got this set of nail polishes as a present from a friend at Christmas. My first choice when choosing was a nail vanish set made by Champneys including a set of five polishes. This must have been highly popular as unluckily it went out of stock.

Unfortunately I don’t have a photograph of the Lispy packaging. Although the products individually were worth the price stated, the box was very small box, making the gift at £10 appear quite steep.

However the actual nail vanish bottles are very professionally looking, and look lovely on my dressing table. The polishes were high quality and they were easy to glide over my nails. The formula is a good consistency, not too runny or thick.

In the set, there were three nail polishes in three colours, Red Hot Date, High Heels and Guest List. The colours are contemporary but are quite classical so last more than one season.

I think overall the set is lovely and has inspired me to try other Lipsy beauty products next time round. I give it thumbs up!

Cranberry Extracts Selection Box £10
This is another Christmas Present which I wanted to blog as a beauty review. I’m a huge fan on extracts products and have been a couple of years now. I tend to get most of my items as gifts at Christmas.

All the other scents I’ve been thrilled with, but was a little unsure about trying cranberry, luckily I was thrilled when I tried it out, the scent was lush and also quite festive.

The packaging was lovely, however just a little bulky, but making it a lovely gift for £10. The items in the set include 200ml body wash, 200ml body butter and 200ml body scrub. I like using the products all together, leaving the bathroom smelling of lovely cranberry.
The body wash is quite thickly concentrated which I like, and is smooth with no bits. Also the bottle lasts quite a long time which is great value. I like to use this as an everyday shower gel because of its lovely strong aroma.

The body butter is silky and again quite thickly concentrated. I find the 200ml tub lasts me a very long time. I’ve found the body butters are pretty consistent however some of the body scrubs can vary in concentration.
The cranberry body scrub was a little runnier than some of the other extracts scrubs I’ve used; this makes it a little bit messier but easier to apply to the skin.
Overall I was really impressed with this gift set and really enjoy using the products included!
P.S The green extracts gift box is sold separately at £12 from the 2011 Boots Christmas Brochure.

Purely Yours Just The Two £12
I was pleased with this gift I got off Santa so though it was worth blogging. This Christmas Gok Wan brought out the ‘Purely Yours’ range, I asked for the smallest gift set so I could try out the products and see if I liked them.

The Purely Yours range included various bath and beauty products in glamorous lilac and black packaging. I was attracted to this and the fact I liked the Gok Wan ‘Gorgeous’ range the year before.

In the Just The Two set I received, a 200ml full size bath essence and 120ml body lotion. I think they were the perfect size to test if you like the product.

I actually used the bath essence only twice in the bath but I guess I was being greedy as it could have lasted up to five times. I loved the top on the bottle; it was easy to use and pretty. The product smelt lovely and came out as a glittery/shimmer liquid.
The only down side to this, is I had to rinse the glitter from the bath afterwards, however I’m sure by using the bath essence more sparingly it wouldn’t have been such as problem.

I am still using the body lotion; this seemed to have lasted longer. Like the bath essence, the musky scent was divine which lasted as long time on my skin. I was happy that there was no shimmer in the lotion; I could apply it without worrying about loads of excess shimmer. Overall I am extremely pleased with the product.
