My Minimal Make-Up Bag Tour

Natural Products:

Lily Lolo Blush and Highlight Palette (Shade Pink)
This is a beautiful product, which gives off a subtle glow throughout
the day. Although it’s a bit pricey I would recommend it.

Lavera Beautiful Mineral Eyeshadow Quad (Shade Cappuccino Cream 02)
Another stunning product that I would recommend.
When the eyeshadow is applied, the look is very sophisticated.

Anne Marie Borlind Lipstick (Shade Celebrity Red 69)
I’ve had this lipstick a while, and it’s a stunning
colour but I don’t wear it very often.

Cruelty-Free Products:

Barry M All Night Long Medium Coverage Foundation (Shade Milk 1)
This is probably my most used make-up item. I use it as a foundation
as well as a concealer to hide blemishes and even out skin tone.

The Body Shop Matte Lipstick (Shade Honolula Pink 420)
This was a recent purchase which I shared a review of here
I find the shade flattering for my fair skin.

MUA Makeup Academy Amplify Statement Lash (Shade Black)
I haven’t actually tried this product yet. My initial thoughts are
the price is very reasonable and the wand looks great.

Other:

Carmex Lip Balm
This product is good for very dry lips.

Gok Wan Make-Up bag
I’ve had this lovely make-up bag for years, and it really has stood
the test of time. With its wipeable material, it can be cleaned easily.

E.l.f Bronzer

Happy Easter to my readers. Today I’m back to share this bronzer I’ve recently been using. It’s a really great Nars dupe, particularly with the packaging, and the very affordable price. The sleek, black compact, with a mirror is so practical and easy to pop in your bag too.

The product has four shades which you can use individually or swipe over with a big fluffy brush. I have very pale skin, so a little goes a long way but it gives off a subtle bronzed look which can be built up.

It’s available to buy on Superdrug here, for £5.00 but there are always offers which I took advantage of and I paid around the £3.00 mark. E.l.f is a one of the best cruelty-free drugstore brands in my opinion, and I’ve got lots of praise for them.

Barry M All Night Long Concealer

Hope you are all well and are having a good week so far. Today I’m excited to be reviewing this concealer I’ve been trialling by Barry M. In the past I’ve not really delved into the brand except for their nail polishes and glitter pots a long while back. I was curious to see how I went with this product, and was hoping for good things after reading previous reviews. Barry M offers a range of purse friendly make-up that is cruelty-free and many of their products such as this are vegan too.

When the concealer arrived in the post, the matt, sleek packaging really caught my eye and reminded me a little of Collection's lasting perfection concealer in the design and initial swatch. It’s nice to see such a pale shade available, and the undertones suit my skin nicely. I think this could be a staple for me, before my skin starts to tan. I use it under my eyes mostly, and it brightens my skin well. I don’t really have anything bad to say about it and would fully recommend. My shade choice was milk, the lightest of the five shades available and at £4.49 it seems a bit of a bargain. Look out for offers too. Click here to buy.

Gosh BB Cream

Today I’m going to be reviewing this Gosh BB cream in Sand 1. I’ve actually purchased this product twice now and I’m excited to finally share my thoughts. I’ve always liked the brand Gosh, in my teens I was obsessed with their eye shadow pencils, and lately I’ve been getting back into their make-up. I find the quality is excellent for the price, and fortunately they are cruelty-free.

Foundation, primer and moisturizer in one. Gosh BB Cream has a natural coverage that adapts to the skin tone and furthermore leaves the skin soft and smooth. SPF 15 and cruelty-free.

I struggle getting the right colour in base products as I have rather fair skin. I was browsing the Superdrug website one day and came across this product, the reviews were excellent and a lot of people commented saying Sand 1 is a good match for very pale skin. Sand 1 is perfect for me in the winter months, and the consistency makes it easy to blend. It gives off a very natural glow, and the look is quite flawless. There are two other shades, and when summer comes around I might go for beige 2.

It’s originally priced at £9.99 but on my second purchase I got a few pounds off in an offer which I would recommend to look out for. One tube lasts me months, so the price point is pretty okay. I like the simple, but striking packaging too. I can totally see why this product is popular, I fully recommend. Buy here.

Barry M That's How I Roll Mascara

After a long while of having the same mascara I was pleased to purchase myself a new one. The Barry M selection interested me the most, and on the Superdrug website there were lots of great reviews for the one I picked. I paid £4.99 which really is a great deal for what I got. The packaging seems extremely special, more high-end than drugstore, the tube feels weighty, and the shiny purple looks pretty. This is my first cruelty-free mascara, and my first Barry M mascara, so I particularly enjoyed my experience of trying this product out.

The idea behind the That’s How I Roll caption, is to produce long curved eye-lashes; the wand has longer bristles on one side and shorter on the other. I found the brush gave my lashes a wide-eyed feel and the shade was a true black. More layers of the mascara can produce a more dramatic look, but I’m quite pleased with two swipes. My last mascara gave me a bit of panda eyes, this one had much more lasting power on the whole and didn’t leave marks under my eyes. Also the product was easy to remove with make-up remover at the end of the day. Overall I’m thrilled with this product! Click here to buy.

I thoroughly recommend this product, I can see why it got so many good reviews!
